Save Our Sub With Crowdfunder Soft Enamel Pins
Sub Club approached Studio Dais a while back to help them create a new run of Crowdfunder soft enamel pins to help them raise awareness and money to keep the club afloat in the midst of the Covid19 situation we find ourselves in currently. Their campaign was called “SAVE OUR SUB”.
They wanted a simple logo pin badge to connect and engage with their core customer base they have built up since 1987, the year of their founding. The initial order was for 200 pins but was later increased to 500 pins to reflect the juggernaut Crowdfunder page they set up, which has gone from strength to strength (as of today the Crowdfunder has raised £181,000 and counting) to help them with the following:
- Weekly running costs.
- Staff hardship fund.
- Recover £31,000 furlough denied by HMRC.
- Investment in infrastructure for reopening post covid19.
- Launch “Dazzle Fund”, a new sub club charitable initiative.
Sub Club have risen from the ground up since 1987, so striving with nothing is nothing new to them, this should be a breeze! The £181,000 raised so far is testament to that!
Covid19 Dilemma
Nightclubs around the world are all facing the same dilemma. Closures are immanent if crucial financial aid is not brought in from somewhere. In times like this as a business you need to get innovative. You need to connect with your audience in new ways. You need to give back in order to be given. The enamel pins we made for Sub Club are a great affordable way for life long fans of Sub Club to show their support without being out of pocket.
This custom job was a fairly simple task for us. Create a logo enamel pin badge of their submarine logo, display on backing cards and present inside a recycled brown envelope that would be given to their supporters on their crowdfunding page. The timeline was tight at 15 days but Studio Dais strived to deliver and that we did!
Terrible Tory Policy
You can still show your support for Sub Club via their Crowdfunder page as we feel the situation clubs find themselves in due to a terribly thought out tory policy aimed at crushing night club culture will be here for some time yet. It is a known fact that the UK has some of the worlds most respected nightclubs, artists and labels. It was the UK who brought the authentic Ibizan Balearic experience over to the west with djs like Danny Rampling, Paul Oakenfold, Nicky Holloway and Johnny Walker after visiting Amnesia Club in 1987. The rest is history. This is pure cultural heritage that you can’t just get back overnight. If the UK loses this now they will lose their position as innovators of culture and entertainment.
So back to custom enamel pins! Please go show your support to Sub Club and any other nightclub for that matter!
