Let music be thy medicine? We were contacted by Clemens Zuch who runs Znare, a company manufacturing custom made snare drums, and what beautiful creations they are! Clemens wanted to finish his snare drums off in style, so of course he got in touch with Studio Dais to create the perfect custom made branded drum badges!
The design features a bold lightening bolt piercing what could be seen as a snare drum. The idea behind the lightening bold is to encapsulate the sound the Znare drums give off. Which is to say they are sharp, crisp and clean, not to mention electrifying! These bespoke made snare drums will be perfect for drummers who like their sounds on pitch and clean. Jazz, rock, funk, folk, R&B, soul, reggae and pop drummers should take note!
These snare drums are a modern masterpiece using the finest materials available, the best manufacturers in Europe, and offer the best sound in snare drum technology. Here are some technical specifications for you drum geeks:
Diameter: 12 ”
Wall: 0.2 ”
Snare beds: 0.1″
Bearing edges: roundover, 45 °
Strainer: Trick, single step
Wires: Puresound, 16 strands
Head: white coated
Resonant head: Aquarian, Hi-Performance
Finish: raw, gray
Badge: Z-bolt , silver-plated
The job was fairly straight forward as Clemens knew exactly what he wanted, after discussing the many plating options we could have gone with, Clemens settled on polished silver, which would ensure the badges stood out at live gigs!
As the custom made branded drum badges were to be delicately screwed into the nylon snare drums we had to ensure the tap holes were 100% accurate! There was no room for any tolerance error, we confidently succeeded.
We have full faith in our client that with these badges, his company Znare Drums will succeed. We took great pleasure in working on such a bespoke metalware job and welcome other entrepreneurs to get in touch if they want their new business to start with a bang!
They are quite a bit different to our custom pins and bespoke patches we normally see to. We have more interesting and complex jobs to share with you on these blog posts very soon, but please feel free to contact us if you have a challenge!
