As with a lot of decoration and branding, the military were the first to really utilise and incorporate woven patches, embroidered patches and chenille patches into their strategic goals. Woven and Embroidered patches were a way of identifying troops, personnel and possible enemies. The history of military patches goes way back to the Greek, Roman and possibly Egyptian times, but we won’t go that far back here!
Custom Woven and Embroidered Patches In The 21st Century
Moving into the 21st century! How can small and large businesses as well as artists, creatives, musicians and designers all benefit from the much loved patch?!
Firstly the purpose of woven and embroidered patches are usually to be ‘stuck’ (sew on, iron on, Velcro or glue) to something, usually clothing or another type of item made of fabric, such as bags, but the real purpose of them is to be worn on a person, for them to signify some sort of allegiance to a company, brand or organisation. If you have a loyal customer or fan base then it goes without saying that they will gladly wear your company branding with pride.
A Walking Woven and Embroidered Billboard
This type of marketing is effective because you essentially have a billboard, a walking, talking billboard that has the potential to leave an impression to 1000s of people daily. With their low cost and our low minimum order quantity, we feel this is a pretty good bang for your buck! You should be seriously considering these as part of your annual marketing budget.
To Patch Or Not To Patch, That Is The Question?
Your company logo is usually the first thing you would consider as a patch, but there’s more options. Is your company reaching a milestone such as its 10th birthday? 25th? 50th? These are important differentiators that you need to communicate. Fifty or even ten years in business means you are experienced and authoritative. How about a company mascot? Mascots are like your second logo, and should not be left to grow old in draw. Keep your masoc alive and relevant as they are brand touchpoints that say a lot without actually costing you much more than a small run of woven or embroidered patches.
Bands have been faithful advocates of the woven and embroidered patch since time began. Perhaps a follow on from the 1940s Harley Davidson / Hells Angels motorbike groups who adorned them! There is a sense of rebellion attached to the patch and there are no limitations on how they can be used or applied. We are able to create woven patches, embroidered patches, chenille patches and printed patches all at unbeatable prices and quality, with a unique low minimum order quantity service, so if you need 50 or 100 patches we can do that, but are able to manufacture up to 10,000 patches a week if desired!
