What Are Backing Cards?

Backing cards can be whatever you want them to be! The main purpose of them is to help you sell your pins or present them in a more professional manner. Backing cards can come in any size or die-cut to any shape, but usually most people prefer standard sizes such as square or rectangle and usually sized at around standard credit card size or double that. The idea with the cards is to print your branding and / or promotional material on the front and / or back. The pin is then pinned onto the card usually in the centre. The cards are then placed in clear plastic pouches; we also offer recycled brown envelopes which are a nicer environmentally aware choice.

Our premium backing cards are simply 500gsm card stock, whereas standard are 300gsm in weight. GSM stands for ‘grams per square meter, and is the international method of determining card thickness (however different card styles like Hairy Manila can extenuate the thickness factor even more.
